Reflected in nature, we see cairns to pay tribute to those who have passed, come before us, or have impacted us. We leave cairns to light the way for others, as a silent greeting to those that may come after us to a special place, and to pay respect to the place the cairn inhabits.
This abstract painting titled "Stacks - Urban Cairn Series No. 1" is the first in my Urban Cairn series in my abstract work paying tribute to some of the signposts of our culture.
